    Summary of the release

    We are releasing 7 new major enhancements/features and 24 changes/minor improvements to existing features in our systems this month.

    Important information

    At the end of the year we will close down all access to the old WMS - the version you get to when clicking the below button. Everything has to be done in the new mobile version

    The release will be released to:

    • s02 + s08 - instance

      • Tuesday at 22:00 CET, 15 October

    • all other instances (s01, s03, s04, s05, s06, s07 + WMS)

      • Wednesday at 22:00 CET, 16 October

    Transport modes on the orders & order lines list

    Main menu→ Order / Orderrows → General

    We have added that you can search for one or more orders delivery methods both on the order list but also the order rows list.

    At the order line level, it shows the selected mode of transportation for that particular order line (can be different depending on how you send the products in the warehouse system and for partial deliveries).

    If there are no order rows sent, it is the order header's mode of transport that is displayed

     

    Improvements for order page searches

    It is now easier to press checkboxes when searching. Previously, only the yellow area could be pressed.

    Clear filter button now correctly removes all previous entries.

     

    Made it possible to search & "Select all" in some fields. Remaining fields such as "Warehouse" need to be converted before they can be converted to this new type.

     

    When you select "With selected orders", you will only see the reasons for review that are active on the order, to more easily release orders.

     

     

    Minor improvements & bug fixes

    • When trying to cancel a BOM child via API, the cancellation did not go through. This is now fixed so that it works correctly

    • The webhook for PurchaseDelivered has been clarified to show which rows are partially delivered.

    • The word 'Cost' was incorrectly translated to 'Kosta' in several places for Swedish users, but this is now fixed

    • The default setting that makes all orders invoiced at full delivery by default (when all lines are delivered) was not automatically applied to some orders. Fixed so it does now.

    • An order containing both BOM and regular items was incorrectly released for picking when the user marked the order for immediate delivery. The BOM should for some clients (depending on the setting) be kept together in full regardless of manual action.

    • Support for placing orders in different currencies with direct delivery via API has been extended, allowing the purchase to be created immediately

    • Some clients have had difficulties deleting shipping price lists, it should now be easier to do this.

    • If a product's cost changes, the product webhook is now triggered. The product cost is usually updated when new purchases are submitted.

    • Several efforts have been made to eliminate errors that could arise from inventory systems such as WMS.

    • The excise duty report for the tax office for the nicotine has been improved.

    There is a setting in the WMS that is used to enable product descriptions on single order picks.

    Now we have added product descriptions on the multi-pick.

    If the text is more than 50 characters, it will be a text you have to click on to "show more".

    To start picking an order, the picker presses the green button "Reserve and start picking" (Some clients have auto-reservation of storage space, then it just says "Start picking")

    After pressing the button, there was previously no way to "cancel" the start of the pick.

    We have added a red button that allows you to cancel the picking so that the order is back in its original position.

    If there are rows already picked, the picker is asked to put the products back first. If the picker chooses to cancel anyway, all the products are automatically put back in their original picking locations.

    You can also see at the top right who started the pick under "Pick started by: ..."

    In addition, the user has the order automatically assigned to him/her and can find it under "Assigned orders".

    During a picking operation, the picker may discover that the balance at the location is not correct.

    Previously, it was necessary to search for the product and the location to inventory it manually.

    Now you can do it directly from the single pick view by pressing "Edit".

    The picker enters the value it should be or 0. If there are other orders that have reserved the balance already, you may need to unreserve their orders as well. However, this will cause those orders to "lose" their reservation and have to be re-reserved against new storage space.

    The unsolicited submission page previously required you to first select the client and then search for the product.

    We've made the WMS select the client automatically and can enter the product number directly.

     

    We have also broken out ongoing deliveries and completed deliveries to load the page faster for the user and create structure.

     

    Linking print macro with mode of transport & sender

    Order picking → Book transportation → Finalize and print

    Different carriers require different types of documents to be printed either by our own templates, Extends TA or Nshift. This has meant that we have sometimes set up different macros to quickly select the right number of documents & printers but the picker has had to select the right macro manually.

     

    We have developed a function to link the carrier & sender with a macro.

    (Different senders are only used by some clients, usually only the carrier differs per macro)

    Users can select which macro to use through the top drop-down menu and then select "default" through a button. This is then saved down for that layer for the next time users book a shipment with that carrier and shipper.

    If a macro is selected by default, a light green button will appear saying "Used by default"

    This works for "fast transport" in the multiplex and also for batch printing.

    Minor improvements and bug fixes

    • Our VMI app has been given extended functionality to place orders directly and display product images.

    • Corrected a sound signal that occurred when a fully acknowledged multi-pick order where you confirm the number of products picked, it would only occur when wrong picking.

    • Improved the auto-selection of picker packaging for the clients that use it. Nowadays, you don't have to manually select which packaging you want to pick, but it is done automatically when a new one has been created.

    • The delivery pages now show the current balance in stock correctly if you use KG/TON

    • The pick packaging icon only appears if you use pick packaging on single picks.

    • "Hide Received Lines" should now work correctly again after it stopped working

    • Added "Port code" & "Pallet registration number" on Postnord in Extend TA & we have added support for automatic return label printing for Postnord.

    • "Fast transport" on multiple parcels should now work for carriers that require detailed parcels.

    • Added support for the Norwegian system "VOEC" in the WMS

    • Added a column under the single-pick view that shows the estimated number of pallets on an order.

    • Corrected Extend TA to send personal name & company name more correctly so that no information is lost.

    • Number scanning upon delivery has received a more informative interface.

    • Grouping of shipping lists is available to all those who use Extends TMS.
