    Compilation

    We are releasing 9 new features and 14 changes/improvements to existing features in our systems this month.

    We are changing the date of releases to be the second week of the month, to reduce the risk of disruption near the end of the month. Release dates will be September 17th, October 15th, November 12th, December 10th for this year.

    External system connections

    Gear → External System Connections → External Systems → SRSSmartPooling

    We are in the process of establishing an external system connection to the SRS system for the customers who handle food and work withhttps://www.retursystem.se/sv

    The connection is basically built and in a Beta phase right now where we are testing with a client, if you are also interested in this functionality, please contact us via a support case and we will go through a setup plan.

    An order in the WMS can be canceled in its entirety by a picker if there is something completely wrong with the order.

    It has previously been possible to still book transport for the order, which has created confusion for some.

    We have now added a warning text in several places and a last box in the transport booking prevents the booking.

    Product search

    Search product → Enter client → Enter product

    We have made the columns "Product number" & "Product name" clickable, which sorts alphanumeric in each column. Does not affect the normal search but works as before.

    Multi-pick

    Assigned orders → Multipick → Aggregate/Common

    Some of our customers always add one or more "VAS" products that indicate that something special needs to be done for these orders. It can be e.g. marking or that they must be packed in special cartons, etc

     

    If you have many orders in a multi-pack, it becomes time-consuming to have to mark each line separately as completed.

    Therefore, we have added a button called "Acknowledge all VAS" which picks everything on the order that is typed as VAS.

     

    Those who are observant will also see that we introduced 3 tabs to increase performance and minimize scrolling on small screens.

    • Rows to pick

      • All rows to be picked, including VAS products

    • Picked lines

      • All lines that are already picked in their entirety, including VAS products (VAS is in its own box)

    • Remaining noted lines

      • Backlogged lines are lines that are not to be picked yet, because the balance is not sufficient in the warehouse. These lines are handled later in another picking task, but give the picker an overview of when the remaining goods can be delivered to the customer.

    Multi-pick

    Assigned orders → Multipick → Aggregate/Common

    There is a setting in the WMS which means that you have to confirm what you have picked for an order after the multiple picking is completed (often used by those who run aggregate picking).

    The purpose is for the picker to "pack" the picked products into a box and confirm which products the picker puts in the box by scanning them.

    This page has been improved graphically to fit small screens and gained additional features:

    • Sortable columns

    • The page works with more than 25 lines as well (appears on the next page when you click on)

    This setting can be enabled by Extend's support team.

    Ready-picked order → Book transport

    Some carriers have many collitypes available which are loaded into our database.

    We have been able to distinguish which ones should be available and pre-selected by default by adjusting the database. Now we have made it easier for the support team to set this up.

    This setting can be enabled by Extend's support team.

    Ready-picked order → Book transport

    Within the same category as the previous function, there are many additional services from different carriers. In some cases, these services always need to be included when you book a transport.

    We have previously been able to set these up in the database, but have now made it easier for our support department to handle this so that certain services are "pre-filled" when you choose a mode of transport.

    Warehouses

    Main menu → Warehouses → Upload

    Some of our clients have several thousand warehouse locations.

    In order to edit, add or remove these through mass processing, the help of the support team has previously been required.

    You access the template by downloading it from the page, then uploading it. You then get a confirmation box where you see the number of rows that will be affected, before you confirm it.

     

    We built this as functionally as possible and therefore it has some limitations in itself.

    • Sorting and type must be in Swedish.

    • You cannot delete columns

    • You must refresh the page after each upload

    • You cannot create inventory area and class "on the fly". They must be created in advance, manually.

    The function is only available to those classified as "Administrators" in the WMS

    That is, if you see "Storage locations", you can upload/edit/delete storage locations.

    Everything is logged in our database.

    Delivery

    Main menu → Goods receipt unannounced

    A few versions ago we added a feature called "Quick Receive".

    This allows you to receive an entire purchase with the push of a button and the goods then end up at the goods reception warehouse or a picking location if the product is linked to it.

    We have noticed that this feature is used a lot by people who do not work with moving the goods internally in the warehouse or do not have the ability to print the pallet labels required to move the goods efficiently within the warehouse.

    We have now added a setting that does the following:

    • If the setting is off, select goods receipt.

    • If on, select the predefined pickup location.

    • If it is not available, select the first available location where the product is located, and if none, default to the goods receipt.
