Highlights

XTND BACKEND

Optimization and performance enhancement of system processes

ImprovementGeneralRequires support to activate: NO

For this release we have heavily invested resources in improving and optimizing our system processes which constantly work in the background while you as users work in the system.

We have put our greatest efforts in ensuring scalability and that an increasing amount of processes will be able to run simultaneously. This is to decrease the strain on your system when critical or data heavy processes run. We have, among other things, client-isolated certain processes. This will result in that your critical system processes will be able to be run 60 per cent faster.

In total, the time the system will require to run processes will decrease with remarkably 64 per cent.

The result: decreased waiting periods for process updates to be done in the system or to synchronize with other systems. For you as a user this will be perceived as less "errors" occur where, for example, orders take a long time to be sent to picking at the warehouse or data isn't updated as quickly as it is presumed to be. We hope this will make using the XTND platform an even smoother experience for you.

Your product bundles (BOM) can now contain dropship products

ImprovementProductRequires support to activate: NO

Product bundles, or so called BOM products or Bill of Materials products, group multiple individual products into a bundle to be sold together. These bundles can now contain dropship products. Dropship products are products directly delivered from the supplier to the customer; products you do not not store in your own warehouse.

Product bundles have the supply mode BOM. You select this supply mode when you create the product. To add products to the bundle, you go to the submenu Bundle information. Here you can now add dropship products to the bundle. Dropship products are products with the supply mode Direct delivery.

When an customer order includes a product bundle with dropship products, you have to create one or multiple dropship purchase orders to your suppliers to order the products to be sent to your customer. You create dropship orders under the Dropship menu by selecting Create dropship.

For more information please read more about product bundles and dropship in our manual and knowledge center:

Columns added under submenu Products on the Warehouse page

ImprovementWarehouseRequires support to activate: NO

On the new warehouse page we have added more columns under the submenu Products.

These can be added to the table by pressing the cog wheel. If you desire to change the order of the columns, drag and drop the columns in the order you wish to display them.

Columns we have added are:

  • Balance currently picking
  • Balance available for priority group B
  • Balance available for priority group C
  • Consumption last 30 days

Identifiers added on additional services

ImprovementMasterdataRequires support to activate: NO

Under General settings in the system, found under the cog wheel, you can add and remove the transport modes you use for orders under the submenu Transport settings. Here you can find the identifier for every transport mode available. These identifiers are used to communicate between multiple systems which exact transport mode to be used for the order so transport booking systems book correct transportation. Identifiers also exist for the additional services you can book with your transport.

We have now added these identifiers under the transport mode's additional services settings. This makes it easier to identify the correct identifier for additional services, which is particularly helpful if you create orders via API where these identifiers is required.

Thermo group archived - use this instead

ArchiveMasterdataRequires support to activate: NO

Under Masterdata settings for Product under the Masterdata menu, you could previously set up different thermo groups for transportation of products which require, for example, cold or hot transportation.

We have now simplified this function by archiving the creation of different thermo groups. Products that should be handled with a specific thermo handling should instead be specified under the field Thermo description. This field can be found under the section Transport under the product's basic data page.

Improvement of error messages for upload pages

ImprovementMasterdataRequires support to activate: NO

We have improved the error message handling for the upload pages for customers and products.

If yo for example upload a product which exceeds the allowed number of characters for product name, the system will provide a clear error message for each product so you easily can correct it and upload again.

Old offer page archived

ArchiveOfferRequires support to activate: NO

For a time you have had access to two offer pages under the Sales menu. We will now archive the old page. To create offers in the future, use the new offer page.

Do you need help creating offers on the new page? Please have a look at our manual & knowledge center, or contact our Customer support for guidance.
