How to use UPS worldship software togheter with Extend Commerce WMS

UPS worldship is an on premises software used to create shipment, lables. etc.

This instructions is about how to send a file with raw data about a shipment from Extend Commerce WMS (cloud) to UPS worldship (on premises) and that UPS then handles the creation of shipment and printing of lables.

Preparation in Extend Commerce WMS

1.Add a printer to the warehouse with type "WorldShipFile". Remember that the name of the printer here, will be the name of the folder where the file is saved.

2. Add a report template for UPS Worldship
This template shall be of a reporttype called world ship file and linked to printer type worldshipfile

3.After this, Add the report template to a printmakro for the client.
this is a normal "freight" makro.


After this its done and ready to be used IF you have an XPS version of 8.9 or higher. If not, you need to upgrade the XPS version.  You find XPS installation files here.XPS installation files

What will happend?

When a transport is made in Extend Commerce WMS and a UPS service is used, and the print of document is made with the makro/template mentioned above, a xml file will be saved in the XPS folder system. The name of the folder will be the name on the printer when you set up the printer.
